Call for AYE Traditional Music Performers

Eligibility : 1. Applicants with ASEAN nationality, age between 15 - 30 years old
2. Applicant should be able to play at least 1 traditional Instrument (2 applicants per country)
3. Applicant should have some experiences with western notation
4.A selected applicant must be able to attend all activities as scheduled

Submission : The applicants must submit application form, along with following documents
1. Link to their performance video such as YouTube, Vimeo or similar. (3 - 5 mins)
2. link to demonstration video explaining about their instrument, range, playing techniques etc. (3 - 5 mins)
3. Pitch range of the instrument and possible pitches (diatonic/chromatic) in PDF
4.Short biography (250 words)
5.Picture (High Resolution, JPG)

Financial Support :

Supported by ASEAN Cultural Fund, selected applicant will be provided with international air ticket, board & lodging, local transportation and daily allowance from 25th August to 3rd September 2017.

 

* an organisational committee reserves the rights to select 2 applicants from each ASEAN country.

 

Call for AYE Composer 2017

Eligibility :

1.Applicants with ASEAN nationality, who was born on or after August 31, 1982

2.A selected composer must be able to attend all activities as scheduled

Application Deadline : no later than Aug 1, 2017 4pm. (GMT +7.00)
Submission : The applicants must submit application form, along with following documents
1. One original composition (5 - 7 minutes) in PDF format (Score and Parts) Composer’s name should not appear
on the score as it will be screened anonymously by the selecting committee.
2. Short biography (250 words)
3. Program note or description of the composition (250 words)
4. Picture (High Resolution, JPG)
Instrumentation : Composition must be scored for ensemble in any format but must include at least one
traditional instruments from the list (List A). Any western instruments (List B) can be included up to 5 instruments.

Concert :

Selected composition will be performed by ASEAN Youth Ensemble during the Princess Galyani
Vadhana Institute of Music International Symposium 2017on the 31st August 2017, also a public concert on 2nd
September at SiamSquareOne, Bangkok.

Financial Support: Supported by ASEAN Cultural Fund, selected applicant will be provided with commission fee, international air ticket, board & lodging, local transportation from 25th August to 3rd September 2017
