Experience the power and beauty of our youth orchestra in Transcendence – the 13th Opening Concert of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra (PYO). Under the baton of Boon Hua Lien, this program takes audiences on an inspiring musical journey through masterpieces that bridge emotion, color, and imagination.

The evening opens with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61, performed by the acclaimed Thai violinist, PGVIM faculty, Sittichai Pengcharoen. Celebrated for its lyrical beauty and profound depth, Beethoven’s concerto remains one of the greatest achievements in the violin repertoire.

The concert continues with Maurice Ravel’s Boléro — a hypnotic, rhythm-driven masterpiece that captivates with its steady crescendo and brilliant orchestration.

Concluding the program is Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, in Ravel’s legendary orchestration. This symphonic showcase transforms a collection of musical “paintings” into a vivid sonic gallery, each movement portraying a different scene full of imagination and color.

Join us for a night of transcendence — where young musicians bring timeless masterpieces to life, uniting artistry, passion, and inspiration on one stage.
