Bangkok, 12 December 2025<\/em> \u2014 Bangkok Flute Days 2025<\/strong> was held as a major gathering for flute enthusiasts through a collaboration between the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM)<\/strong> and the Thailand Flute Circle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured intensive academic activities, including a Body Awareness workshop<\/strong> on injury prevention for musicians by Kalaya Phongsathorn<\/strong>, as well as a special lecture and masterclass by world-renowned flutist Julien Beaudiment<\/strong>. The programme also included showcase performances by Thai artists<\/strong> and an instrument exhibition by leading brands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM)<\/strong> was proud to be part of a significant musical milestone at Bangkok Flute Days 2025<\/strong>, providing venue support for the opening day of the event.
All activities were made possible through the collective efforts of the Thailand Flute Circle<\/strong>, a group dedicated to elevating the standards of wind music in Thailand and creating a platform for knowledge exchange among world-class artists, faculty members, students and the general public<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning session began at 10.30 a.m.<\/strong> with the official opening ceremony, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This was followed by a series of high-quality academic activities, starting with a special workshop by Kalaya Phongsathorn<\/strong><\/strong>, one of Thailand\u2019s leading flutists and piccolo players. The workshop focused on Body Awareness for Musicians<\/strong>, covering proper stretching techniques and effective warm-up practices to help reduce physical strain and prevent performance-related injuries.
The session continued with a special lecture by world-renowned flutist Julien Beaudiment<\/strong>, which attracted strong interest and enthusiastic participation from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon session. A highlight was the masterclass led by Julien Beaudiment<\/strong>, during which he offered in-depth guidance to participants, helping them refine their skills and develop their musicianship to an international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, an engaging academic panel titled \u201cEchoes of Thai Resonances\u201d<\/strong> was held, moderated by Kalaya Phongsathorn<\/strong><\/strong>, with guest speakers Amanat Chantarawirote, Morakot Cherdchoo-ngarm,<\/strong> and Viskamol Chaiwanichsiri<\/strong>. The discussion explored the integration of Thai musical identity<\/strong> into wind music composition, focusing on concepts of tone color and the creative reinterpretation of Thai melodies, continued with Showcases & Chamber Music<\/strong> sessions highlighting the artistry of Thai musicians, including a performance by the Resonance of Siam Ensemble<\/strong>, which left a strong and lasting impression on the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening concluded at Sangita Vadhana Hall<\/strong>, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, with an inspiring concert, \u201cJulien Beaudiment Flute Recital in Bangkok 2025.\u201d<\/strong> The recital, filled with outstanding musical artistry, served as the highlight of the opening day of Bangkok Flute Days 202<\/strong>5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audiences were welcomed by performances showcasing the talents of the younger generation. The opening musical welcome was presented by students from Horwang School<\/strong>, one of the Institute\u2019s music network schools. This activity was held in support of the royal vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, the Princess of Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra<\/strong>, who wished to create opportunities for Thai youth to express themselves and gain access to classical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the main performance, Julien Beaudiment<\/strong>, Principal Flute of the Op\u00e9ra National de Lyon<\/strong>, captivated the audience with selections from his latest album, RAVEL: The Flute Album<\/em><\/strong>, alongside flute masterpieces by Claude Debussy<\/strong> and Nicolas Bacri<\/strong>. The programme also featured virtuosic works such as Fantasia<\/em> by Krakamp\/Briccialdi<\/strong> and pieces by Gershwin\/Heifetz<\/strong>, showcasing an exceptional level of technical brilliance.
The recital was superbly complemented by Usa Noppawan<\/strong>, faculty member of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music<\/strong>, who served as the collaborative pianist<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening held yet another special moment when Julien Beaudiment<\/strong> invited Kalaya Phongsathorn<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>, one of Thailand\u2019s leading flutists, to join him on stage for a special performance. This musical collaboration beautifully conveyed a spirit of friendship beyond borders and deeply impressed the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond presenting artistic excellence, the concert also reflected the vision of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music<\/strong> in promoting learning beyond the classroom. The Institute provided opportunities for its students to participate in hands-on internships<\/strong> within an international music festival, allowing them to gain practical experience and prepare themselves for professional careers as musicians and music professionals on a global stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

n addition to the on-stage programmes, the event featured an exhibition<\/strong> by music partners including Melody Solutions, BAANFLUTE, N.A.P.,<\/strong> and leading instrument brands, showcasing musical innovations that attracted strong interest from students and parents alike.
The daytime activities concluded on a relaxing note with a Sound Bath session led by Pawita Thongcharoen<\/strong>, offering a moment of calm and emotional preparation for participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bangkok Flute Days 2025<\/strong> was held over a total of three days, from 12\u201314 December 2025<\/strong>.
