PGVIM executives, faculty members, staff, and students visit to the People\u2019s Republic of China from 24\u201328 March 2026. The visit was organized under a special music performance project celebrating the diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, with the aim of strengthening academic collaboration and promoting international cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit, the delegation met with representatives from three leading music institutions in China:\u00a0Central Conservatory of Music\u00a0in Beijing,\u00a0China Conservatory of Music, and\u00a0Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Discussions focused on potential academic partnerships, curriculum development, and future collaborative activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 24\u201325 March 2026, the delegation visited\u00a0Central Conservatory of Music, where they had the opportunity to meet with\u00a0Yu Hong Mei, President of Central Conservatory of Music, and\u00a0Li Xiaobing, Director of the Department of Music Artificial Intelligence and Music Information Technology. The discussions highlighted innovative approaches to integrating technology with music\u2014an emerging field with strong potential to drive the future of the music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 25 March 2026, Acting President Assistant Professor Dr. Anothai Nitibhon participated in a panel discussion on contemporary music composition alongside\u00a0Kee Yong Chong, Special Lecturer at PGVIM, and\u00a0Gao Weijie\u00a0from\u00a0China Conservatory of Music. The session provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on contemporary music creation in an international context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Following the discussion, the delegation held further meetings with the administration of\u00a0China Conservatory of Musicand attended an orchestral rehearsal that featured a seamless integration of Chinese and Western instruments. The ensemble warmly welcomed the delegation with a performance celebrating the Year of the Horse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 26 March 2026, the delegation visited the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai to strengthen cultural relations and cooperation. They then continued to\u00a0Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where they met with university executives and toured the campus. Highlights included a visit to the Chinese musical instrument museum, showcasing the richness of China\u2019s cultural heritage, as well as demonstrations of innovative technologies incorporating brainwave interaction in musical creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The visit also featured \u201cSONGSONGSOIL,\u201d an improvisational performance by PGVIM Master of Music student Patchaya Nantachai and Lamtharn Harntrakul, in collaboration with Chinese musicians. The event included a discussion on Thai folk music, fostering meaningful cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program concluded with the concert\u00a0\u201cHeaven and Earth Resound in Harmony\u201d<\/em>, held on 27 March 2026 at\u00a0Malanhua Mini Theatre. Organized in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai, the concert presented a performance inspired by the Thai literary classic\u00a0Phra Suthon\u2013Manora<\/em>, blending traditional Thai music with contemporary elements. The production reflected Thailand\u2019s unique cultural identity while highlighting the power of artistic exchange on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
