The Musique de la Terre<\/strong> project aims to enhance cultural competitiveness in the region through music-related initiatives and activities. It seeks to build and strengthen networks of collaboration between music institutions across Southeast Asia and foster a new generation of traditional musicians in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Initiatives:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  1. Community Music: Recognizing Culture Through Sound<\/strong>
    A collaborative project between PGVIM and King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi, where students explore and study the traditional music of the Karen community. This initiative supports cultural tourism<\/strong> and helps preserve local musical heritage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Bus Project<\/strong>
    A hands-on experience where Thai and international students travel to various provinces in Thailand to learn and engage with local traditional music and cultural practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. ASEAN Youth Ensemble<\/strong>
    A program that gathers young musicians from ASEAN countries to learn and perform together.<\/strong> The project includes mentorship from both local and international faculty, including experts from Europe. The repertoire spans from traditional folk music to contemporary compositions, with a special focus on ASEAN instruments<\/strong> as the foundation of the ensemble.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Celebration of 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Thailand<\/strong>
    A special musical performance in China<\/strong> to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand.
