Tawanrat Mewongukote<\/strong> is a passionate clarinetist and lecturer with a focus on music and curating impactful musical experiences. She graduated with First Class Honors from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Chulalongkorn University in 2009 and was fortunate to receive a scholarship to continue her graduate studies at Portland State University in Oregon. Tawanrat later completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at Boston University, supported by another scholarship from the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tawanrat was appointed as a teaching assistant at The Ohio State University for three years, where she gained valuable experience in both performance and event organization under the mentorship of Dr. Caroline Hartig. She is also deeply grateful to have studied with esteemed clarinetists, including Ajarn Mongkol Piromkrut, Peter Goldberg, Prof. Dr. Nophachai Cholthitchanta, Dr. Yos Vaneesorn, Dr. Barbara Heilmair, Ethan Sloane, David Martins, and Richard Stoltzman. Their influence has been instrumental in shaping her musical voice and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her time in the U.S., Tawanrat was actively involved in various musical endeavors, including managing the Boston University Wind Ensemble and performing with a variety of respected ensembles. She also contributed to several recordings, which can be found on platforms such as CD, Spotify, and Apple Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon returning to Thailand, Tawanrat focused on giving back to her community by organizing notable music events, such as the Brass Ensemble of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra concert in 2019 and the annual Thailand International Trombone Festival. She also served as Vice President at International Cultural Promotions, organizing the Bangkok\u2019s International Festival of Dance & Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Tawanrat is a full-time lecturer at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, where she is dedicated to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of musicians.
