The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM) is pleased to announce the upcoming Thailand International Trombone Festival 2026 (TITF 2026), to be held 4 – 9 August 2026 at PGVIM in Bangkok, Thailand.

The festival brings together trombonists, performers, educators, and music enthusiasts from around the world for six days of concerts, masterclasses, workshops, and collaborative musical activities.

A major highlight of the 2026 edition is the launch of the International Trombone Competition, marking the first time Thailand will host an international-level competition dedicated to the trombone. The competition aims to provide a platform for talented trombonists worldwide to showcase their artistry and engage with an international musical community. The festival will feature an outstanding lineup of internationally recognized trombonists as guest artists, including:

  • Carol Jarvis
  • Christopher Bassett
  • Hillary Simms
  • Tomer Maschkowski

Through performances, educational sessions, and artistic exchange, the Thailand International Trombone Festival seeks to foster collaboration among musicians, encourage artistic development, and strengthen international connections within the global trombone community.
