The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM) had the honor of welcoming the world-renowned Ju Percussion Group (朱宗慶打擊樂團) — Taiwan’s first professional percussion ensemble and a pioneering force in the world of contemporary percussion. Over the past 35 years, the group has performed in more than 35 countries, captivating audiences worldwide with their powerful and innovative performances.
During their visit, members of Ju Percussion Group conducted an intensive workshop with PGVIM students and young Thai musicians, sharing their expertise, performance techniques, and artistic experiences in an inspiring and engaging setting. The session offered valuable insights into the art of percussion while igniting passion and creativity among the next generation of Thai artists.

This special activity was part of the Student Outreach Program under the Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music, which aims to bring international artists closer to young people in Thailand, fostering inspiration and global learning opportunities.
PGVIM is proud to be the only music university in Thailand to have an official partnership with this prestigious international festival, which has been a cornerstone of Bangkok’s cultural scene for over 27 years. In addition to workshops and masterclasses, PGVIM students also gain hands-on experience through internships within the festival.

At PGVIM, music education extends far beyond the classroom — connecting students to the global stage, nurturing real-world experience, and empowering them to grow as professional musicians.
