On 31 January 2026, the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM) formalized an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts, to strengthen institutional collaboration in education, research, academic services, and creative initiatives in music and the performing arts.

The agreement was signed by Assistant Professor Dr. Anothai Nitipon, Acting President of PGVIM, and Assistant Professor Dr. Somkiat Pumipak, President of Bunditpatanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts, in the presence of faculty members, staff, and representatives from both institutions.

This partnership aims to foster new learning spaces that integrate Western classical music with Thailand’s rich performing arts traditions. Key areas of collaboration include faculty and student exchanges, joint curriculum development, research projects, and co-organized academic and performance activities, all designed to enhance artistic and cultural capacity at the national level.

Following the signing ceremony, attendees were invited to a special concert titled “Molam Lamoon”, a distinctive performance that brought together PYO and Rattanasin Intathairat Molam Troupe. The concert highlighted a seamless fusion of orchestral music and the soulful spirit of Northeastern Thai molam, reflecting the creative vision and shared commitment underpinning this academic partnership.
